It was all good about a week ago! With school closures, limited supplies, and life as we know it shifting, we must keep learning at the forefront.
Here are 3 tips to help you and your family can use to successfully create the perfect home learning environment.
1. Dedicate space: a dedicated space in your home will help promote stability when it comes to learning. Where will home lessons be held? The dinner table, in your home office, or in the backyard weather permitting....
2. Create a schedule: stability is critical when it comes to learning, creating a schedule that you and your child follows daily will prepare your child for success It also sets the tempo for what your little learner should expect daily.
During this Corona Virus issued break, I will be conducting live Facebook readings of Children's Book to keep the little learners happily engaged and reading! Here is a schedule that I created that you can use as well. Please feel free to join me daily here for live readings.
3. Be Creative and Have Fun: there is no need to fret and worry about learning, make it fun! Conduct STEM related experiments, have your children join you in the kitchen (you can teach them measurements in the process); make slime; write a book; the possibilities are endless....Just think outside of the box and make every moment a teachable moment!
For example - here is an easy and fun experiment you can do with Preschoolers and Kindergarteners, will it sink or will it float. Use water and items you have around the house, to engage your children.
